New Food Show Promises To Embark On “An Adventure in Taste”

Using “An adventure in taste” as its tag line, a new web based show on Thursday premiered with its first episode for the food lover in us all.

A Mouth Full, a food show produced by local entertainment group iKonz Media, promises to take Bahamians on an exciting food journey, exploring various dishes, meals and delicacies, locally and internationally.

The show’s producers said A Mouth Full will be a first of its kind in local television.

“The show seeks to entertain and educate Bahamians and visitors alike about the variety and complexity of the food landscape here in these 700 islands,” they said. “We will visit local restaurants, take aways, ‘holes in the wall’, and even households to taste, try and create all the
foods available here in the country.”

A Mouth Full is hosted by Andrica Smith (Dre’) who describes herself as a passionate foodie.

She said to her food is more than sustenance, but rather an expression of love, a ticket around the world and even a feel-good treat.

“We eat when we are happy and when we are sad; food speaks the language we can’t verbalise, but we often find comfort in its many textures,” Dre’ said. “I have an infectious passion for food of every kind. My passion for food and love for adventure dares me to try even the most extraordinary dishes.”

The show is an upbeat, fun colorful Bahamian version of your favourite international food shows.

In true Bahamian fashion, A Mouth Full’s premiere yesterday explored the greatness of the famous and Bahamian favourite, “Chicken in The Bag.”

In the first episode, the show’s host Dre’, could be seen driving around New Providence in her sleek Volkswagen Beetle travelling to famous chicken in the bag spots to order her favourite version of the now Bahamian delicacy and to taste test and of course compare.

Within hours of its release, the show garnered hundreds of likes, comments and shares on its Facebook, Instagram and Youtube pages, with food crazed Bahamians wanting to dig into more of what the show has to offer.

New episodes of A Mouth Full, all about 10 minutes long, will be released every other Thursday on the show’s Facebook and Youtube pages.
