Detectives from the Central Detective Unit (CDU) have another murder investigation on their hands and as a result are searching for two men who shot and killed a man at Baillou Hill Road Sunday morning.

According to police, the incident reportedly occurred around 5:15 a.m. in the area of School Lane.

Preliminary reports indicate that the deceased was walking to his Ford Explorer when he was approached and subsequently shot by two men who exited a silver Honda vehicle.

The victim was taken to hospital via EMS personnel where he died as a result of his injuries.

Police are actively investigating and are appealing to members of the public who may have any information regarding this incident to contact them.

This pushes the homicide count to 26 for the year.

This is the first slaying however this month.

The last homicide occurred back on March 30 after 45-year-old Scott Roberts was gunned down on Peach Street off Montrose Avenue.
