A 40-year-old man of Opulent Road was arrested Tuesday after he was arrested for possession of cocaine.

According to reports, around 9:30 a.m. officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU), acting on intelligence intercepted a blue Nissan Maxima vehicle driven by the suspect at Marrow Road, Garden Hills Number Two.

The officers conducted a search of the vehicle and found one pound of cocaine with an estimated street value of $12,500.

The suspect was taken into custody and is expected to appear in court later this week to be formally charged.
