Police Capture Escaped Fugitive

Police are once again successful in the capture of an escaped fugitive this past weekend.

Jason Jerome Rolle, 21, escaped from a police transport vehicle on Friday while being escorted to the Department of Corrections.

Police reported that on Friday, Jerome escaped shortly before 4:00 p.m. from the vehicle on Wulf Road near Claridge Road.

Officers say that Rolle was captured in the Farrington Rolle area around 9:30 p.m. Friday night.

Rolle was convicted for possession of dangerous drugs, and it is unclear as to exactly how he managed to escape the vehicle.

Just earlier this year convicted murderer Ormand Leon escaped from a police bus in the area of York and Bay street while he being transported to the Department of Corrections.

Leon was at the time handcuffed and shackled while on the bus, however when leaving, left these behind.

Leon was on the run for 15 days before being captured.
