Police are probing the death of a man who died while changing a tire Tuesday night.

Police said the 31-year-old was changing a tire on a public service bus on Blue Hill Road South when the tire jack apparently malfunctioned.

The vehicle collapsed pinning the man underneath.

Citizens assisted police in lifting the vehicle off the man. Paramedics also arrived at the scene, but they pronounced the man dead at the scene.
