GB Man Killed In Traffic Smash-Up

A 37-year-old man is dead following a traffic accident in Grand Bahama.

According to police, the incident happened around 3:00 p.m. on Saturday and involved a 1999 white Lincoln Limousine and a green 2004 Toyota Corolla.

Reports are that both vehicles were traveling on Coral Road near the juncture of Nansen Avenue when the accident occurred.

In the process, the victim, the driver of the Corolla, was seriously injured. The Pioneers Loop resident was pronounced dead on the scene.

Four passengers of the Lincoln limousine were also wounded.

They were taken to hospital for further medical attention.

Firearms, Ammunition, Drugs Found

Police are meantime looking for the owner(s) of two firearms, ammunitions and dangerous drugs.

Reports are that officers were in the Kennedy Drive area shortly after 8:00 p.m. Friday when they discovered a .40 caliber pistol loaded with a magazine containing .40 ammunition along with a .38 revolver loaded with two .38 rounds of ammunition in an abandoned building.

No arrest was made.

Police had the same luck after finding a quantity of suspected marijuana in a vehicle in the Hearne Lane area after 11:00 p.m. on Friday.

Investigations are ongoing.
