The homicide count climbed on Friday after a Kennedy Subdivision was killed.
Police have requested the public’s assistance in locating the two men who may be responsible for the shooting incident that has left a 40-year-old man of Zinna Court dead.
The incident reportedly occurred shortly before midnight on Saturday.
Police said the victim had just arrived to his Kennedy Subdivision residence when he was approached by the men, wearing black hooded jackets.
Police are investigating and are appealing to members of the public who may have any information that can assist them in locating the suspects to contact them at 919, the Central Detective Unit at 502-9991, 501-9910 or CRIMESTOPPERS at 328-TIPS.
This takes the total homicide count to 106 for the year.
This slaying also follows the death of 32-year-old Patrick Bodie who was gunned down early Thursday morning.
Meanwhile, a 19-year-old female of Wilson Track is dead after a garbage truck reportedly crashed into a home on Wilson Track.
According to reports, the incident occurred shortly after 10:00 p.m. Friday as the men were collecting garbage in the area.
Active police investigations into both matters continue.
