Two Bahamian men were rescued Sunday afternoon after their plane crashed in the Staniel Cay, Exuma area.

The men were rescued by the United States Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) notified the agency of the twin-engine crash and they launched a MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter to locate and recover the men.

The Coast Guard said the men were taken to Nassau.

There were no reports of injuries.

The cause of the crash is being investigated.
