Two men – ages 21 and 20 – are being held in connection with the murder of a high school student which occurred on Saturday in the Bains Town and Grants Town constituency.
The 16-year-old C.R. Walker Senior High School student was shot to death just after midnight Saturday.
He has been identified as Carlos Taylor who also went by the name ‘Yellow.’
According to police, gunshots were heard in the area of Dunmore and Flemming Streets however; when they arrived they met Taylor’s lifeless body lying in the street.
Taylor was shot several times about the body and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police reported that Taylor was armed with a handgun when he was killed and that they found the weapon on him when they arrived to investigate his death.
The 21-year-old suspect showed up at the hospital following the incident and was taken into custody after he was treated and discharged.
The 20-year-old suspect turned himself into the police.
The Bahama Journal understands that the three men were involved in an argument which resulted in the teen and the 21-year-old suspect being shot.
The suspects are expected to be arraigned in court before the end of the week.
