Third Suspect Charged For Whit Monday Murders

A third man was arraigned Tuesday in connection with that Whit Monday double murder at Kemp Road.

Rashad Clarke, 21, faced several counts when he appeared before Chief Magistrate Roger Gomez in Court Number 1.

The Flamingo Gardens resident was charged with the murders of 40-year-old Amati Knowles and 17-year-old Odrick Telisma both of Kemp Road.

The pair was gunned in broad daylight last Monday.

In addition to murder charges, Clarke was also charged with three counts of attempted murder for the shootings of Anthony Roache, Larnado Wilson and Arlington Stubbs.

The men were all shot during that incident.

Clarke is also charged with firearm and ammunition possession.

Additionally, he is charged with stealing and receiving.

Court dockets allege that Clarke along with several other people stole a white 2003 Dodge Ram valued at $8,000 between May 13 and May 14.

This is the same vehicle that police believe Clarke and the other accused used to drive into Kemp Road and kill Knowles and Telisma.

Knowles was shot while sitting on a porch outside a residence and Telisma was gunned down as he attempted to leave the residence.

Clarke pleaded not guilty to the possession and stealing charges but he was not required to enter a plea to the murder and attempted murder charges.

He was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prisons until June 27 when the matter is expected to continue by Voluntary Bill of Indictment.

This will fast track the matter to the Supreme Court.

Last week, 22-year-old Carlon Rolle and 18-year-old Sean Higgs were also formally charged in connection with this incident.
