The country’s latest shooting victim has been identified as 29-year-old Raymond Reginald Thompson.

The Wellington Street resident was gunned down on East Street near Coconut Grove Avenue around 8:00 p.m. Wednesday.

According to police, Thompson was standing in front of a home when a man opened fire, shooting him multiple times.

He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police said they are following significant leads into what is now the country’s 77th homicide.
