Murder Suspects Surrender

Two alleged murderers from a group of 15 wanted by police turned themselves in on Thursday.

Only hours after authorities appealed for the public’s help in capturing the group, William Etienne and Charlvin Laramore surrendered.

Etienne is one of the suspects wanted in connection with a double homicide that occurred at a club on Wulff Road and Collins Avenue last month.

Tip Top Bar proprietor, Ernest Cartwright and his employee, Sean Daxson were gunned down while trying to flee two gunmen, police revealed.

According to Supt. Paul Rolle, head of the Criminal Detective Unit, the victims had just closed the Wulff Road bar and were headed to the proprietor’s blue Kia Optima when two gunmen approached them.

In an attempt to escape, the men got into the car; however, the proprietor was fatally shot while in the driver’s seat.

The employee, who ran onto Collins Avenue, was also killed.

Late Thursday afternoon, Etienne turned himself into officers at the Central Detective Unit (CDU).

Meantime, Laramore surrendered to officers at the Central Police Station in Grand Bahama.

Police are hoping to question the suspect in connection with the murder of Taraq Stuart.
The incident occurred at a club on Bay and Armstrong Streets.

Supt. Paul Rolle has issued a stern warning to those found harbouring suspects.

“You will be dealt with because we’re not going to ease up until we find them, so if we come to the house and we find them in the house then you could expect to be taken into custody and charged for harboring a wanted fugitive,” he said.
Anyone with information that can assist police should call 911, 919 or 328-TIPS.
