A 46-year-old Strachan’s Corner man was charged in court yesterday with raping a teen girl.

Alden Scott was arraigned for raping a 17-year-old girl on July 12.

Police arrested Scott late last week.

Chief Magistrate Roger Gomez informed Scott that the court would not require him to enter a plea to the charge.

It is expected that Scott will return to court on November 28 at which time the voluntary bill of indictment (VBI) will be served.

The VBI, which will be served by the attorney general, will fast track the case to the Supreme Court.
