Seven suspects, including a juvenile, arrested over the weekend, were charged together before the Magistrates Court yesterday.

 Deshawn Smith, Deron Bain, McNiece Ferguson, Bernicia Hart, Nathaniel Miller, Dennis Mather, along with a juvenile, appeared before Magistrate Constance Delancey and were all charged with possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

 All seven suspects had representation.

According to the police, around 1:00 a.m. Saturday, officers from the Selective Enforcement Team acting on information, executed a search warrant on three rooms at a small resort located on West Bay Street, where they uncovered two pistols along with 34 live rounds of ammunition.

All seven suspects pleaded not guilty to the charges.

They were remanded to The Bahamas Department of Correctional Services until trial on August 11, 2016.
