The death of a 25-year-old Grand Bahama man back in March is said to have been caused by blunt force trauma from falling.
According to police officials on that island a Coroner’s Inquest earlier this month made a ruling in the death of Delano Dorva on the grounds of Casa Bahama.
Dorva’s lifeless body was found on Monday March 3.
His death was initially reported as a suicide but police did not classify the incident pending an autopsy report.
That Coroner’s Inquest was held from May 27 to 29 in Grand Bahama before Coroner Helen Jones and on June 19, the jury delivered its verdict and found that the deceased died as a result of blunt force trauma injuries ascertain from height after falling from the Casa Bahama building.
Casa Bahama is the tallest building on Grand Bahama and several incidents were reported in the past where persons have fallen to their deaths.
Crown counsel Erica Kemp marshaled the evidence on behalf of the Attorney General’s Office and attorney Paul Wallace-Whitfield represented the interest of the family.
