Seven men, involved in a firearm trafficking ring, were arraigned yesterday at the Magistrate’s Court on Nassau Street in connection with the seizure of high powered weapons and ammunition.
The seven men, including an American, were arraigned on two counts of firearm possession, two counts of possession of a prohibited high powered weapon, two counts of conspiracy to possess a prohibited high powered weapon, and one count of possession of ammunition.
The accused are Yvonany Garland, 39, of Miramar, Florida, five Grand Bahama residents, 19- year-old Rasheed Smith, 43-year-old Deon Lloyd Morris, 36-year-old Allan Cedric Burrows, 20-year-old Sergio Humes, and 41-year-old Ricardo Stubbs.
Also arraigned was Kemp Road resident Alfred Bastian.
The group is scheduled to return to the Nassau Street court on May 28 for the continuation of their trial.
