A 25-year-old Eleuthera resident was arraigned yesterday on a manslaughter charge for the death of his five-month-old daughter.

Court dockets indicate that the baby, Berlendia Vedrine died as a result of unlawful harm caused by her father, Blouand Vedrine back on September 6 in Gregory Town, Eleuthera.

The Haitian national spoke through an interpreter.

He was not required to enter a plea to the charge and was remanded to prison.

His attorney Murrio Ducille is seeking bail for his client.

The matter has been adjourned until today at noon for further bail consideration for bail.
