A 26-year-old man is expected to appear in court later this week on drug possession charges.

Officers were reportedly patrolling Commonwealth Boulevard, Elizabeth Estates around 12:30 p.m. when they spotted the suspect acting suspiciously.

A search revealed a quantity of marijuana packaged for sale.

Investigations are ongoing.

Meantime, Flying Squad officers yesterday arrested a 33-year-old man in connection with a stabbing in Coral Harbour several days ago.

Police are appealing to anyone with information that could further assist their investigations to call 919 or the nearest police station.

The 57-year-old man who apparently drowned on Sunday in Jones Town, Eight Mile Rock has been identified as William Green of Hanna Hill.

According to police, Green was diving when he never resurfaced.
His lifeless body was retrieved some 300 yards off shore.

Green was pronounced dead on the scene.
