Avard Dixon, 32, was charged with murder in the Magistrate’s Court on Monday.

Dixon, a resident of Summers Haven, appeared before Magistrate Samuel Mckinney for the August 11 murder of Stephen Newbold.

It is alleged that Newbold and Dixon got into an argument in front of the victim’s home off Bailou Hill Road last week, which resulted in Newbold being stabbed multiple times about the body.

He succumbed to those injuries on the scene.

Dixon was not required to enter a plea and was remanded to prison until October 22, where he will be served with a voluntary bill of indictment.
