Being Honest Pays Off For Two Brothers

Two little boys have proven that it pays to be honest.

The Water and Sewerage Corporation (WSC) lost a device and two brothers, both students of Oakes Field Primary School, recently returned it.

Brothers Nathan Carey, 6, and Yaqiym Rahming, 10, with the assistance of their mother, Shaquila Carey traced the device to the Corporation via the manufacturer.

Proving that honesty is still the best policy, Water and Sewerage Management decided to reward the boys for their act of integrity.

At a ceremony held at WSC Headquarters the family was rewarded for their honesty.

Nathan and Yaqiym were given a plague and gifts, and the family’s account was credited with an undisclosed amount.

“It is always good when we can recognise the honesty of our young people and in this case the device is extremely valuable to the corporation and we appreciate the efforts made by the family to return the item” said General Manager Glen Laville.

“We are happy to have the unit back at the corporation and are elated to recognise a family in the community who is doing good.”
