Police believe that they have closed the books on another murder.
Yesterday, Richard Brown, 23, of Mason’s Addition was arraigned before Magistrate Constance Delancey on one charge of murder.
It is alleged that Brown on May 18th, approached and fired shots at two males.
The incident took place shortly after 10:00 p.m. in front of a home located on Burial Ground Corner.
One of the males, Devanno DeCosta, was killed on the scene and the other male, a juvenile, was transported to hospital.
Brown was told by Magistrate Delancey that he is not required to enter a plea, and the offense is not a bailable offense.
The defendant can however apply for bail in the Supreme Court.
He will return to court for a voluntary bill of indictment on July 18.
