A Haitian man was shot to death and two other Haitian people seriously injured during an early morning home invasion in the Joe Farrington Road area.
The trio was in its Marigold Farm Road home Sunday shortly before midnight.
According to reports, a man armed with a handgun entered their home and demanded cash.
After robbing the victims, the gunman shot the victims and fled on foot.
One of the men, Paulin Felix, was pronounced dead on the scene, while the other victims were taken to hospital. One is detained in serious condition and the other was released.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Anthony Ferguson noted yesterday that because of the language barrier police encountered some difficulties, but he said they should have a better clue of what happened in the course of their investigations.
This latest death pushes the country’s homicide count to three.
On Saturday, two men were gunned down in the Union Village area.
They have since been identified as Devane Lloyd of Penny Savings Bank Lane and Andrew Stirrup of Union Village.
