Police have identified two of the country’s latest homicide victims.
Grand Bahama’s sixth homicide victim has been identified as 33-year-old Kirklyn Swendel Lightbourne.
Lightbourne was shot to death Saturday afternoon in the Yeoman Wood area.
His body was found on the northern side of East Indianman Road.
Lightbourne’s death pushed the country’s total homicide count to 72 for the year.
Meanwhile, police have also identified the country’s 70th homicide victim as 40-year-old Kelsey Johnson.
Johnson was killed around 11:20 p.m. Friday in the McCullough Corner area off East Street.
Police said the East Street resident got into a fight with another man and was fatally struck in the head.
Johnson died on the scene.
