Two men were arrested Monday evening for murdering a man whose gunshot riddled body was found along a dirt road off Cowpen Road Friday night.
Authorities have identified the victim as 29-year-old Vernon Robert Rolle, Jr. of Monastery Park.
His body was found in Hollywood Subdivision around 9:30 p.m. Friday.
When police arrived on the scene, they found Rolle lying face down with gunshot wounds to the head and upper back.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
His death is the country’s 97th murder for the year.
Police arrested the two male suspects ages 38 and 27 in the Winders Terrace area.
