The young man killed during a traffic mishap in Grand Bahama of Tuesday has been identified as 22-year-old Cody Matrix Bowleg of Holmes Rock.

Authorities said Bowleg was riding a motorcycle west on Queen’s Highway, Pine Forest, Eight Mile Rock when he collided into the rear of a Nissan Maxima just before 10:00a.m.

Bowleg, who was injured, was taken to the Rand Memorial Hospital, where he later died.

Bowleg’s death comes only days after 19-year-old Natalie Elsie.

According to police, the Cromwell Drive, Grand Bahama resident was driving a blue Saturn around 2:30a.m. last Friday when she lost control of the vehicle, ran into nearby bushes where the car landed on its side, pinning Elsie inside.

The young woman was pronounced dead on the scene.
