A 77-year-old Canadian visitor is lucky to be alive after being attacked by a shark in Eleuthera yesterday.
According to reports, around 11:00a.m., the victim was fishing with friends aboard a boat off Cape Eleuthera, when he was attacked by a shark, injuring him in both the leg and arm.
The victim, whose identity has not been released, was taken to the local clinic where he was treated.
He was later airlifted to Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

A 27-year-old Harbour Island man was arrested in connection with a stabbing incident on that island yesterday.
Police said the victim was sitting on a wall at Colebrooke Alley, Harbour Island around 7:40a.m.when a man he knew approached him and stabbed him in the upper back with an unknown object.
The victim was treated by the local doctor and later airlifted to New Providence.
At last report, he was in serious condition.
His alleged assailant has since been arrested.
