Five months after allegedly committing the crime a 25-year-old man was on Tuesday arraigned in the Magistrates Court for the New Year’s Day murder of Jason Clarke.
Daran Neely of Avacado Street appeared in Court Number 11 to answer to one murder charge, two attempted murder charges and one charge of possession of a firearm with the intent to endanger life.
Court dockets allege that Neely, a jet ski operator, shot and killed Clarke who also answered to “Slacks.”
Neely was also charged with attempting to kill Michael Preval on January 1.
A second man, 24-year-old Rashad Laroda of Walnut Street, is alleged to have joined Neely in a second attempt to kill Preval on April 17.
The pair was also charged with possession of a firearm with intent to end the life Edward Butler.
They were not required to enter a plea to the charges and will return to court on May 19 for mention.
Attorneys Shaka Seville represented Laroda while Tai Pinder is Neely’s lawyer.
