Two Grand Bahama men were shot and stabbed in separate incidents, pushing the country’s homicide count to 74.
Police said they are following “significant leads” into both incidents.
According to official reports, 26-year-old Calvin Stuart was stabbed in the Sunridge Road and Carissa Street, Freeport area just before 10:00 p.m. Wednesday.
He was taken to the Rand Memorial Hospital where he died only a short time later.
Little over two hours later, detectives rushed to Bruce Avenue, Freeport, where a 27-year-old man was shot and killed.

The victim’s identity will be released after his next of kin has been notified.
Police are meantime appealing to anyone in the area of either incident to call 350-3107/8, 352-9774/5 or 911.
They have also renewed their appeal for help with their investigations into the death of Kirklyn Lightbourne last Sunday.
Lightbourne’s lifeless body was found lying on the northern side of the East Indianman Road with multiple gunshot wounds to the body.
Police are uncertain of the circumstances surrounding the incident.
