Bimini police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal stabbing that has left a Caucasian man dead.
According to reports, shortly before 7:00 a.m. on Friday, police received information about a man’s body that was found lying on the grounds of Big Game Resort and Marina.
Officers responded and upon arrival met a male with apparent stab wounds to the body.
He was pronounced dead by a doctor from the Bimini clinic.
Sources have identified the man as Carl Yerger of Berks County, Pennsylvania.
Officers from the Central Detective Unit in Grand Bahama and Bimini are leading the investigation into this matter.
Four Caucasian men are in custody assisting police with their investigation.
An autopsy is being done in Grand Bahama.
Meanwhile, police are questioning a 20-year-old male in connection with a substantial amount of drugs found on a mail boat Thursday.
According to authorities it was around noon that they executed a search warrant on a boat docked at south Bimini.
On board the vessel were several boxes containing a substance believed to be marijuana.
Police estimated the weight of the drugs to be 234 pounds with a street value of $234,000.
