Bahamas Institute of Business and Technology (BIBT) is slated to thrust $525,000 into scholarships for law enforcement officers here in the country via a Law Enforcement Revolving Scholarship Fund.
According to the Board of Directors at BIBT the work of a particular set of rave Bahamian men and women seemingly go unnoticed and it is without their efforts that Bahamians would not be able to live the way they do.
“The scholarships aim to assist aspiring members of the Defense Force, the Police Force, the Immigration Department, the Prison Department and the Customs Department who want to further their studies.”
The scholarship program will include a wide arrange of associate degrees open to those who qualify.
“The amount of the scholarship is set at $3500 per officer. These scholarships are tenable at the Bahamas Institute of Business and Technology only and will extend for a period of two academic years. The awards are open year round and are only redeemable as tuition waivers in the amount of $350 per term.”
The scholarships will be offered to those aspiring members of The Royal Bahamas Police and Defense Force, The Department of Immigration, Bahamas Customs Department, and Her Majesty’s Prison who want to further their studies.
BIBT will hold a press conference on this coming Friday morning on their campus to officially unveil the two Financial Assistance Programs.
