Authorities discovered the body of an 82-year-old American man floating in waters in Grand Bahama yesterday.
Officers from the Central Detective Unit (CDU) said the visitor was from Pennsylvania.
Police made the discovery shortly before 3:00 p.m.
Officers were called to the Taino Beach area and spotted the body at the rear of Bell Channel Club.
The man was taken to the Rand Memorial Hospital in an ambulance where he was later pronounced dead by the attending doctor.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
Trio Injured In Car Crash
Three people were taken to hospital Monday night following a car crash on a Grand Bahama highway.
The accident occurred at 9:40 p.m. on Queens Highway in the Bartlett Hill area of Eight Milr Rock.
According to police reports, the male driver of a 2010 blue Ford Explorer was travelling west along Queens Highway in the left west bound lane and the male driver of a white 2002 Honda Domani was travelling north along Saint Stephens Road in the left north bound lane when they collided.
Both drivers and the passenger of the Ford Explorer were all transported to the Rand Memorial Hospital via ambulance for minor injuries sustained during the accident.
