This is just the latest slaying to occur in the Fox Hill community in recent weeks. Earlier this month, 21-year-old Dakheil Curry was gunned down on Johnson Road following an altercation.
The area was also the site of last December’s massacre which resulted in four people being killed and several others wounded after gunmen opened fire on a crowded park.
Yesterday Fox Hill MP Fred Mitchell expressed his sadness over this latest incident which he called another tragedy for his constituency.
“I am deeply saddened to learn of another tragic shooting in my constituency. I express my condolences the family of the deceased and pray for the recovery of those who were injured. It is very sad. I pledge to continue to work to bring about peace in Fox Hill and all of our neighbourhoods,” Mr. Mitchell said in a brief statement.
The matter is now under investigation.
