Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) Officers on the island of Grand Bahama discovered a large clear plastic containing a quantity of suspected marijuana with an estimated street value of $5,000.00.

Acting on intelligence, officers found the drugs in bushes in the Lewis Yard Area shortly after 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

At last report, no arrest was made in this matter.

Shortly after 9:00 p.m. while patrolling in the Knowles Drive area on the island of Grand Bahama, DEU officers stopped and search a grey 2003 Chevy Cavalier vehicle with two male occupants.

Officers upon searching one of the males, officers discovered in his possession a white plastic wrap containing a small amount of suspected marijuana.

He was arrested and taken into custody.

Investigations continue.
