Longtime public servant Harold Munnings died over the weekend at the age of 90, the Journal has confirmed.
Munnings was 90-years-old.
He served as former permanent secretaries in both the Ministry of Works and the Ministry of Health.
Mr. Munnings was also the co-ordinator of the 1973 Bahamas Independence Secretariat and served in that capacity for several years.
According to tributes pouring in on Facebook, Munnings was admitted to the hospital on July 25.
The cause of death was unknown up to press time.
