A team of officers from the Central Detective Unit (CDU) left the capital for Eleuthera yesterday to assist with investigations into a fatal stabbing on that island.
Dead is an 18-year-old boy.
According to Press Liaison Officer, Superintendent Stephen Dean, Eleuthera police were alerted to the incident around 9:00am Sunday.
When they responded, they met the victim’s lifeless body in an unfinished building on TW Alley and Culmer Street, North Palmetto Point.
He had multiple stab wounds.
The teen, whose identity authorities have not yet released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Superintendent Dean said at this point, there is no motive for the killing.
Active investigations continue.
Meantime, a man is lucky to be alive after being wounded early Saturday morning.
According to police, the victim was in the Fowler Street area after 1:00a.m. Saturday when he was shot to the left side of his body.
At last report, the man was in stable condition in hospital.
Meantime, a 27-year-old man was arrested after he was found with dangerous drugs.
Authorities reportedly picked up the Bailey Town, Bimini resident shortly after 1:00a.m. Sunday while in the area of a nightclub on that island.
Police said at the time, the man had a quantity of foil wraps containing suspected marijuana.
