Seven men were taken into custody following two major drug busts this past weekend, the first in Bimini.
According to reports, acting on intelligence, a team of officers went to an area in North Bimini just after 8:00a.m. on Saturday where they found three men with 411 pounds of marijuana.
Police said two of the men, ages 40 years and 20 years, are residents of Bimini while their co-accused is a 26-year-old resident of Grand Bahama.
The estimated street value of the drugs is $411,000, according to police.
The suspects have since been brought to the capital.
Meantime, a 45-year-old man from Andros, a 40-year-old man from Abaco along with two other men ages 32 and 24 from New Providence, were arrested on similar charges.
Authorities reported that around 4:00a.m yesterday, a team of officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) went to the Clifton Pier area where they found the four men with 118 pounds of marijuana.
The drugs could be sold on the streets for $118,000.
All of the suspects were taken into custody.
Investigations into both matters continue.
