A teenager died in hospital days after being shot during a rampage at the Baller’s Nightclub last week Tuesday.
Sixteen-year-old Kevin McDonald died in hospital late Monday from gunshot wounds he sustained as a result of the deadly shooting.
The Peter Street resident was the second person to die from that incident.
Twenty-one-year-old Cordero Findley was also killed.
On Monday, Police Commissioner Ellison Greenslade told the media that police were following good leads.
But the commissioner declined to elaborate further fearful of jeopardising the investigations.
Last week, the commissioner said initial investigations revealed that the shooting was as a result of a feud between two rival gangs.
“Subsequent to the shootings, police arrested seven men between the ages of 17 and 42 from Nassau Village and later on, an additional 15 people, ages 17-54 from the Kemp Road area,” he said at the time.
“Police operations are ongoing to arrest several others and these operations will continue into the night and until we get to the bottom of this matter.”
The commissioner added that police want to question 34-year-old Julian Collie of Nassau Village.
Stephen ‘Die’ Stubbs of Ridgeland Park West has since been taken into custody by police. He appeared in court yesterday, but was charged with a murder from 2009.
McDonald’s death pushes the murder count to 63.
At this same point last year, the murder count stood at 55.
Homicide Victim Identified
Meanwhile, police have identified the country’s 60th homicide victim as 23-year-old Erin Hepburn.
The Carmichael Road resident was gunned down through First Street the Grove last Wednesday.
