Nearly 100 packets of marijuana, along with three cultivated pots of marijuana were confiscated by police last Friday after a routine traffic stop.
According to reports, around 7:35 p.m. officers involved in “Operation Blitz” were on routine patrol on Adderley Street off Bernard when they observed three people, two men and a woman inside a Honda Civic acting suspiciously.
Officers conducted a search of the vehicle and discovered the packets of suspected marijuana, which have an estimated street value of $470.
Acting on information, the officers then conducted a search of suspects’ homes and discovered the cultivated pots of suspected marijuana plants, along with four and a half ounces of suspected marijuana which have an estimated street value of $270.
The suspects – a 32-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman – both residents of Johnson Road along with a 17-year-old juvenile male of Nassau Village were taken into custody.
Active police investigations continue.
