An afternoon police chase on Thursday resulted in officers in the Carmichael Road area confiscating a handgun.
Police officers reported yesterday that officers spotted a man with a handgun in the area and started to chase him.
The chase led them through bushes just off Carmichael Road near the Flowers Plaza.
Police reports added that while they retrieved the handgun in the bushes the suspect was able to escape.
Police investigations continue into both matters.
