The Free National Movement is considering legal action against Coalition of Independents (COI)
Leader Lincoln Bain following comments from him during a Facebook live claiming that FNM
Leader Michael Pintard had a history of substance abuse.
Mr. Bain also claimed that the FNM has been buying votes.
FNM Chairman Dr. Duane Sands, in a statement, denied all claims made by Mr. Bain and said he
is a “professional do-nothing who uses colorful rhetoric as a method to maintain attention and
political relevance.”
The statement added that while the FNM is focused on their “focused on you campaign, the COI
is focused on smears, fanciful talk and outright lies.”
Mr. Sands said if Mr. Bain’s antics continue, the party will pursue legal action and bring him
before the courts.
The FNM encourages all Bahamians to stay focused on the issues of the people of West Grand
Bahama and Bimini.
