Three men were murdered hours a part, in separate incidents, and now police are searching for the culprits of these homicides.
The men were gunned down between Friday night and Saturday morning in New Providence.
According to police reports, shortly before 11:00pm, Friday, a male was standing outside a bar on Miami Street, off Cordeaux Avenue, when he was approached by a group of men, one armed with a firearm, who shot him, before running away.
Emergency Medical Services were called; however, the male was pronounced dead on scene.
Four hours later, police responded to another report of gun shots, on Rosedale and Mackey Streets sometime around 3am.
Police say when officers arrived on the scene, they discovered a man with injuries to his body. Paramedics were called to the scene, attempted to revive the victim, but were unsuccessful.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, in this incident, police say upon further investigation reports were that the deceased got into an altercation with two men, when one of the men produced a firearm and shot him before both men ran away.
Some three hours later, police received another report of a shooting incident on Fritz Lane, off East Street. There police met a male with gunshot wounds about the body.
According to police, the male was walking on Fritz Lane shortly before 7am, when he was approached by occupants of a gray vehicle who opened fire on him, hitting him about the body before speeding away.
Paramedics were called, attempted to revive the injured man; however, he too was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are appealing to members of the public, who may have information that can assist with these investigations, to contact the Central Detective Unit at 502-9991/2, Crime Stoppers at 328-TIPS (8477) or the nearest police station.
Investigations continue into the incidents.
In Other Crime News: Police are also investigating two separate shooting incidents, over the weekend and are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the persons responsible, which left two adult males in hospital.
In the first incident, shortly after 9:00pm Friday, a man was at New Hope Drive, Joan’s Heights, when he was approached by a male on a bicycle, who produced a firearm and shot him, before speeding away.
He was transported to hospital where he is listed in serious condition.
In the second incident, shortly after 2am Saturday, police responded to Patton Street and Rupert Dean Lane, Bain Town, after receiving reports that a male had been shot and was transported to hospital.
Police say the victim was sitting in his vehicle in front of his home, when occupants of a blue Honda vehicle opened fire in his direction, hitting him, before speeding away.
The victim is listed in serious condition in hospital. Investigations are ongoing.
