Police in Grand Bahama questioning a 20-year-old male in connection with a shooting incident on that island that left a male in serious condition at the Rand Memorial Hospital.
According to Assistant Superintendent of Police, Terecita Pinder, police were called and responded to gunshots being heard on Tuesday, shortly before 10:00pm.
Police went to the Pinedale, Eight Mile Rock park area and upon arrival, officers met a male with gunshot wounds to the upper body.
Further investigations into the incident revealed that two males were involved in an altercation when one of the males shot the other to the upper body before fleeing the scene.
Emergency Medical Personnel were called to the scene and attended to the victim. He was then transported to the Rand Memorial Hospital where he is said to be listed in serious, but stable condition
Police later took the 20-year-old of Seagrape, Eight Mile Rock into custody in connection with this matter.
Investigations continue.
