A 24-year-old Pinewood Gardens man appeared before Chief Magistrate Roger Gomez on an armed robbery charge.
Spice Street resident Dior Johnson is accused of robbing Kendal Roberts on Sunday.
Police allege that Johnson, while armed with a handgun, robbed the man of one gold chain, a sapphire birthstone chain, a gold ring with a black diamond.
The jewelry, collectively, is valued at $3,300.
Johnson was not required to enter a plea to the charge and will return to court on November 21.
He was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prisons (HMP) until then.
Johnson told the court that he was unfairly treated while in police custody as the police pointed him out to some of the victims and then had them point him out during the identification parade even though he was the only suspect.
Chief Magistrate Roger Gomez told him to make his concerns known at trial.
