An Archdeacon of the Anglican Diocese has allegedly been stripped of his title effective February 1st.
Fr. I. Ranfurly Brown – according to sources – was stripped after remarks he made at well-known businessman, Bismark Coakley’s, funeral.
Brown reportedly launched an attack at Prime Minister Perry Christie and has refused to apologize.
Late last year, Archdeacon Brown said the prime minister showed disrespect when he went over the time limit that speakers were asked to adhere.
Brown went on to question as to why support should be given to leaders who have no respect.
The archdeacon was asked to apologize to the nation’s chief, however the rector of St. Agnes Anglican Church, refused.
In 2013, Fr. Brown was suspended by the bishop of the Diocese when he defied an order and walked out of a meeting.
