One of two men who were left in critical condition Tuesday morning after a double shooting in an inner city community died later that night.

According to Police Press Liaison Officer Superintendent Stephen Dean the man succumbed to his injuries around 9:00 Tuesday night.

Meantime the second victim remains in hospital in critical condition.

The double shooting happened just before 10:00 a.m. Tuesday through Panza Corner, between Market Street and Blue Hill Road.

Based on preliminary information a gunman fired shots into a group of men and fled on foot.

Police also recovered two fire arms at the scene, a hand gun and a shot gun.

Police investigations continue.
