A 25-year-old corrections officer has been taken into police custody after he was found with marijuana in his possession.

According to police, the Drug Enforcement Unit searched the officer when arriving for duty at the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services when a quantity of marijuana was found in his possession. The officer was then taken into custody.

Drug Enforcement then conducted a search of the corrections officer’s home in Pastel Gardens, where more marijuana was found.
