A pedestrian was killed in a traffic accident Tuesday evening, police said.
The incident occurred at 8:40 p.m. in the Spikenard and Cowpen Roads area.
Authorities said the driver of a gold 1994 Ford truck, who was traveling east on Cowpen Road, struck the woman..
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
In other news, a third suspect has been taken into custody in connection with the shooting death of American tourist Kyle Bruner.
The 34-year-old Chicago native was gunned down over the weekend in the Mackey Street area.
Officers say they arrested a 28-year-old St. James Road man around 6:00 p.m. Tuesday.
On Monday, police arrested 19-year-old Antone Bastian of Abraham Street and a 20-year-old man of Clarke Alley off Abraham Street in connection with this matter.
The hunt is still on for two more men, one of whom is 18-year-old Leo Bethel of Balls Alley, off Shirley Street.
In a separate incident, police are questioning a 23-year-old man from Ida Street in connection with the murder of Wiscally Genois.
The 21-year-old Bamboo Town resident was killed early Sunday morning at the East Street South Shopping Plaza.
Police said the victim and a group of men were standing outside a business establishment at 2:15 a.m. when a gunman approached him and opened fire.
Central Detective Unit (CDU) officers arrested the suspect at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday on Ida Street.
Police are also questioning a 16-year-old Golden Gates boy in connection with the shooting death of 26-year-old Gregory Miller of Nassau Village.
Miller was killed on Saturday, April 20.
Miller was on Cordeaux Avenue and Key West Street when a gunman shot him in the stomach.
Miller drove himself to the Wulff Road Police Station and was subsequently taken to hospital by EMS personnel where he died.
