A 23-year-old man was arraigned in the magistrate’s court on Monday afternoon for the execution style murder of a Masons Addition man earlier this month.
Kirkwood Rolle of #6 Smith Hotel is believed to have killed Clarence Coakley Jr.
According to police reports, the 19-year-old was gunned down on April 7 just before 10:00 p.m. through Saxon’s way, Masons Addition.
The young man was reportedly sitting behind a house when a gunman approached him and shot him in the head before fleeing on foot.
According to police, Coakley was wearing an electronic monitoring bracelet at the time of his death.
While in court, Rolle’s attorney Glendon Rolle informed Chief Magistrate Joyanne Fergson- Pratt that his client said he was forced to sign an identification certificate.
Chief Magistrate Ferguson-Pratt said she will make note of such information.
His alleged killer was not required to enter a plea to the charge and was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prisons.
Rolle is expected to return to court on August 19 for the review of a Voluntary bill of Indictment.
