A two-year-old girl who went missing in the Stapledon Gardens area was reunited with her parents late Thursday afternoon.
A Good Samaritan found the toddler wandering in the area around 11:00 a.m. She had been missing for hours.
She was taken to the Grove Police Station where her parents picked her up shortly after 4:00 p.m.
The girl, who has dark brown complexion, was reportedly wearing a pink shirt and an orange skirt with cornrows in her hair.
Police say she was in “good condition” and they do not believe that the people who were minding her were neglectful.
However, authorities are reminding parents and guardians to keep a keen eye on children while they are home for the summer holiday.
They are also advising parents to activate various security measures like fences, screen doors, pool covers, proper lock on doors and windows.
