Bahamasair passengers now have more ways to make their travel arrangements now that the airline has partnered with Cash-N-Go in a deal both sides say enhances convenience for customers.
Cash-N-Go is a one-stop-shop of sorts where people can go to pay utility bills, send money grams, purchase phone cards and now book airline tickets.
Jevon Butler, business development manager for Cash-N-Go, said the venture will be particularly beneficial to the thousands of Bahamians who do not use credit or debit cards.
“In our society, we have numbers that prove that at least 70 per cent of Bahamians are either unbanked or minimally banked,” he said.
“Therefore, our target audience is that population. Cash-N-Go looks to provide the same conveniences and services that the online customer has to the general public and that is why we are so happy that Bahamasair has partnered with us so that we can proceed in providing those services at locations available to them.”
Van Diah, deputy general manager of Bahamasair, said the biggest sell will be location. The airline expects to generate between $3 million to $5 million annually through this new venture.
Mr. Diah said the benefits for Family Island customers will be especially significant.
“This is instant gratification for us where we can just lay our infrastructure on top of the locations that Cash-N-Go has and it’s a plus-plus for everyone, not just for Cash-N-Go and Bahamasair, but most importantly, for our customers.”
There are 10 Cash-N-Go locations nationwide – five in New Providence, two on Grand Bahama, one in Abaco and one in Exuma.
Bahamasair ticket sales are being done only at three Cash-N-Go New Providence locations – Carmichael Road, Prince Charles and downtown.
Customers purchasing Bahamasair at Cash-N-Go locations during the months of October and November will be eligible to win free airline tickets.
